Meeting with experts of the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR)

The Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Council and with the President advisor of the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR) Ji Zhiye.

 

During the conversation, there was an exchange of views on the ongoing social-political and economic reforms in the republic, present condition and prospects of development of the Uzbek-Chinese partner relationship, as well as further development of cooperation between ISMI and CICIR.

The Chinese People’s Political Consultative Council (CPPCC) is an important body of multi-party cooperation and political consultation between representatives of various ethnic and religious groups living in China. The main task of the CPPCC is to conduct political consultations, as well as democratic control and participation in government work.

During the meeting, the Chinese expert highlighted the efforts of the Uzbek Leadership, implementation of internal reforms and building of constructive relations with neighboring countries, which creates favorable conditions for the expansion of multifaceted cooperation of foreign countries with the States of Central Asia. It was emphasized that this process is of great interest and finds full support in China

In this regard, the parties discussed the possibility of holding joint events involving scientific cooperation in areas of mutual interest, as well as the participation of representatives of the parties in international conferences, round tables and seminars.
