Tashkent to host round table dedicated to the discussion of the UN General Assembly resolution titled “Strengthening regional and international cooperation to ensure peace, stability and sustainable development in the Central Asian region”.

On 12 July 2018, a “round table” dedicated to the discussion of the UN General Assembly resolution titled “Strengthening regional and international cooperation for ensuring peace, stability and sustainable development in the Central Asian region” will be held in Tashkent. 

The event will be organized by the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan with the assistance of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. 

The main goal of the round table is to discuss the essence and significance of the UN GA resolution in the development of the region, as well as the prospects of strengthening regional and international cooperation for ensuring peace, stability and sustainable development in Central Asia. 

The deputies of the Legislative Chamber and members of Senate of the Oliy Majlis, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Trade, JSC “Uzbekistan Temir Yollari”, Academy of Sciences, Informational and analytical center for international relations, will attend the round table. Representatives of diplomatic missions of foreign countries and international organizations, as well as foreign journalists accredited to Uzbekistan will bring their contribution to the work of the event.
